William Russell Buzzell was the son of Milton John Buzzell and Cora Coons Kendall Buzzell. He was born in Flint, Michigan, married Maud Marietta Hinman 12 Jun 1895 at Detroit, Michigan. They moved to Tacoma, Washington around 1900. William and Maud had five children: Edna Lucille, Edith Lenora, Viola Marie, Harold Russell and William Howard. He left his family about 1910 and moved to California, telling Maud he was going to find work, and the family didn't hear from him again until years later when he was living on the beach in Santa Barbara, California. He may have had two other wives after Maud, but I have been unable to find marriage information for Nellie May Curtis and Effie Rebecca Plank. He died in Santa Barbara, California.

There is no headstone. The the area he's buried in at Goleta Cemetery was origianly owned by the county for County Hospital burials.
