Coolidge McKinney Loye, 93, of 120 Loye Drive went home to be with his Heavenly Father on his birthday Friday, September 19, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday September 22, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Hundley and Alvin Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jason Belcher officiating.

Coolidge was born in Guilford County to John Rank and Annie Carter Loye. He was a loving husband, great father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a great role model to his family. He was a factory worker at American Tobacco Company for 38 years and a farmer growing tobacco and vegetables. He farmed until 2013. He and his wife went to the farmers market for many years. He was a member of Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by his spouse of 69 years, Hilda Doss Loye ; brothers, Johnny Loye, Wesley Loye, George Loye, Cape Loye, Porter Loye, Peter Loye; sisters, Ollie Stokes and Cora Chaney; one sibling deceased at birth and grandson, Larry Hundley.

Coolidge is survived by his sons, Tony Loye and wife, Joyce, Dennis Loye and wife, Arlene, Gary Loye and wife LuAnne; daughter, Zula Trent; grandchildren, Billy Hundley, Denise Chaney, Hilda Vestal, Tonya Worley, Stephanie Loye, Jessica Loye Belcher, D. J. Loye, Heather McFadden and Brian Loye: great grandchildren, Pee Wee Hundley, Keaton Hundley, Brandon Chaney, Cameron Chaney, Ashley Vestal, Randall Hundley, Adam Worley, Tyler McFadden, Maddox McFadden, Noah McFadden, Elijah Loye, Griffin Loye, Jonah Belcher and Easton Loye; brother, Albert Loye; sisters, Mary Comer and Roxie Robinette; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 – 8PM. At other times the family will be at the residence.
