Judy Jane Sharp was born May 22, 1963 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Donald and Esther (Koob) Higgins.

She was raised on her family's farm near Gilmore City. Judy graduated from Gilmore City High School with the Class of 1981. She farmed in the Gilmore City area before moving to Knoxville in 1998. Judy worked for Newton Manufacturing, then as a bank teller, and later for C.O.C. Most recently she was the office manager for McCall Monument in Knoxville. On May 7, 2000 Judy was united in marriage to Ted Sharp. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, especially decorating cookies. Judy also liked traveling and nature particularly when it involved waterfalls of lighthouses. Her greatest joy was quilting; she had an artist touch and enjoyed using vibrant colors. Judy was always available to help other people with their quilting projects. Spending time with her nieces and nephews was another joy that Judy cherished. She will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt.

Judy passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri at the age of 51 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don; sister, Linda Bacon; grandparents: Gerald and Ethel Higgins and Merrill and Esther Koob; in-laws, Harry and Muriel Sharp and her brothers-in-law, Jerry and Johnnie Sharp.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ted of Knoxville; mother, Esther Higgins of Gilmore City; sisters: Diane(Les)Bacon of Humboldt and Kathy(David)French of Annapolis, Maryland; brother, Shane(Cari)Higgins of Ankeny; step-daughter, Shawnna Eaton and her children: Dakota Eaton and Charlotte Campola; brothers-in-law: Don(Kathy)Sharp of Des Moines, Rick(Donna)Sharp of Eldridge and Doug(Lorrie)Bacon of Humboldt and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Memorial Service Bybee & Davis Funeral Home -Knoxville, Iowa Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10 am Bill LaHue, officiating. Inurnment- Graceland Cemetery- Knoxville, Iowa. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to Judy's Quilting Guild. Visitation will begin after 12 pm Tuesday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm.
