Roger worked as a truck driver, for all kinds of industries.
Roger loved attending gospel singings and The Oldfield Opry. He attended Chadwick Baptist Temple. Roger was a jokester and a prankster - always enjoying a good laugh.
Survivors include five children, Diane Palmer and husband Dave, Danny McCoy, Donnie McCoy and wife Debrah, Darrell McCoy, and Melissa Knudsen and husband Clint; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mable; two children, Sammy Dean McCoy and Douglas Lee McCoy; and his sister, Allene Pryer.
Burial in Selmore Cemetery.
