Mrs. Carrie E. Fickes, 65, wife of George Fickes, died at her home in York Springs Thursday morning at 8:45 o'clock for a complication of diseases. She had been ill for six days.

Mrs. Fickes was born in Adams County, a daughter of the late Moses C. Myers and Mrs. Sarah Phillips, New Oxford. For the last 27 years she resided in York Springs. She was a member of the York Springs Lutheran Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother, is a daughter: Miss Marguerite Fickes of Brooklyn, New York; one brother: Clayton Myers of New Oxford; and one sister: Mrs. Guy Klingel of New Oxford.
