Thomas DeForest Hyde, age 89, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, died, Saturday, September 20, 2014. The visitation will be Tuesday, September 23rd from 1-2:00p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral will follow in the chapel at 2p.m. with Bro. Seth Hood officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by his wife Alma Lucille Creasy Hyde; parents, Price and Eula Hyde; brother, Price M. Hyde; and sister, Mary E. Parsons.
He was a retired Pipefitter from TVA after 36 years of service and was a member of the Pipefitters and Plumbers Local 760. He was also a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church.
Mr. Hyde was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include his sons Larry Thomas Hyde and Allan Glen Hyde Sr. and his wife Rebecca; sister, Alice Hyde; 2 grandchildren, Al Hyde Jr. and wife Haley and Ashley Herring and husband Josh; 2 great-grandchildren, Caden Stephen Hyde and Zander William Hyde.

Pallbearers will be Al Hyde Jr., Josh Herring, Danny Creasy, Michael Carpenter, Amos Moore, and Phillip Creasy.
