Mr. Ira Van Alexander, Sr., 91, passed away on June 15, 2022.
He was born on January 16, 1931, to the late Esley Porter Alexander and Mattie Estelle Sumrall Alexander.
Mr. Alexander was a former Deacon of Providence Baptist Church.
He worked in construction and was an avid fisherman.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Esley and Mattie Alexander; wife, Aileen Alexander; four brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Ira Alexander Jr. and wife Anita and Tim Alexander and wife, Debbie; daughter, Sherry McMurray and husband Paul; brother, Carroll Alexander and wife, Davida and sister, Frances Easterling. Along with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
