Mrs. Valeria Wilson, 89, of Woodstock passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Heritage Hospice.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken May and Rev. Bobby Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. The family is receiving friends on Sunday from 1pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilson enjoyed flowers and gardening and was retired from the Cherokee County School District. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Butler, and grandson, Eddie Samples. Survivors include her husband Vardry L. Wilson of Woodstock; children, Richard E. Samples of Locust Grove, Patrick R. (Sussette) Butler of Ball Ground, Vera L. (Anthony) Mitchell of Canton, Vardry Ray (Vonda) Wilson of Waleska; siblings, Nell Brown of Sugar Valley, Sue Holsomebach of Carbondale, Dorothy Arnold of Sugar Valley, Clarence Jones of Resacca, Max Jones of Rocky Face; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
