Frank was born November 17, 1925 in Springfield, the son of Frank W. and Elizabeth Trello Trstensky. Elizabeth passed away while Frank was in his early years; he was raised by Helen G. Trstensky.
Frank served our country in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific. Frank then attended art institutes in both Coronado and Los Angeles. He retired from McDonnell-Douglas (Boeing Corporation) as a designer. Frank was known for being generous, artistic, and caring. He enjoyed using his artistic talents to paint nature, watching various sporting events, and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline McKinney and Dorothea Seiz; and two brothers, Thomas and infant brother Joseph.
He is survived by his siblings, John M. Trstensky of Marrero, LA, Frances Kincaid of Rochester, Helen M. (husband, Daniel) Jackson of Divernon, and Sr. Jomary Trstensky, OSF of Springfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2000 Sangamon Ave., Springfield with Rev. Thomas Donovan, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
