She died at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT.

She was born on October 15, 1948 in Potsdam, daughter of the late Lee and Mae Guilbault Montgomery. She attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Brasher Falls, graduated from St. Lawrence Central School 1966, attended Canton ATC and graduated from NCCC as a LPN.

She married Steven C. Derouchie.

She married Paul Damon. He died in 1991.

Carolyn drove school bus at Chittenango and at St. Lawrence Central School then after she earned her LPN, was instrumental in the start-up of the Dialysis Center in Massena. She retired from Massena and went to work part time at the Agarwal Renal Center in Ogdensburg until she had to stop due to illness.

She was survived by a son, Steven Derouchie, and a daughter, Marcia Derouchie; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, James (Judy) and David (Shirley) and a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Gloria) McGuire; and a sister-in- law, Ellen Montgomery.

A brother, Michael Montgomery, and a sister, Patricia Strickland, predeceased her.
