Private Robert King was a graduate of Nott Terrace Hish school and attended Syracuse university until he entered service two years ago. A member of the 89th infantry division he had served through the German campaign and had penetrated into Czechoslovakia and Austria. Private King had received three battle stars and a presidential citation. A letter written to his family three days before his death told of driving a jeep betwee LeHavre, Paris and Brussels.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold C King of Niskayuna received a war department telegram informing them of the death of their son.
