Mrs. D. N. Van Schaick
Whitesboro, 69 lifelong resident of this village, died Aug 11, 1950 in a Watertown hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Whitesboro, Jan 31, 1881, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Morris Williams. She was married to Eugene Van Schaick who died July 17, 1934. Mr. Van Schaick was station agent here for many years. After his death, Mrs. Schaick had served as relief matron at the Rome State School until her illness. She had made her home with her son, Howard in Watertown since.
Surviving are three sons, David S. in Washington, D. C.; Howard, Watertown and Elliott Van Schaick, Utica; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Hitchcock, Utica, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday from the Howard H. Wells Funeral Home 169 Main St., Whitesboro with burial in Wright Settlement Cemetery.
