Ernest Craven Brewer, 77, of Warsaw passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014. He was born on January 17, 1937 in Sampson County, the son of the late Esthel Craven and Helen Ellis Brewer. Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Ellen Lentz Brewer of Warsaw, NC, two sons, Ellis Craven Brewer (Tracy) of Greenville, SC and Warren Lentz Brewer (Angie) of Wilmington, NC, one daughter, Margaret Linn (Tom) of Charlotte, NC, two grandchildren, Molly Riegle Linn and Claire Rainey Linn, two brothers, Glenn D. Brewer (Melba) of Faison, NC and D. Ray Brewer (Elizabeth) of Fuquay Varina, NC, a sister, Debora Brewer of Wake Forest, NC, a sister-in-law, Peggy Brewer of Faison, NC and his beloved dog, Sir Walter Wally. Mr. Brewer was predeceased by his brother, Louis A. Brewer. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Mr. Brewer's residence. A Graveside Service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, NC on Monday, September 22 at Mr. Brewer was a retired commander in the US Navy Reserve Unit having served for 28 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Pet Friends of Duplin County, PO Box 152 Wallace, NC 28466.
