Zillah L. "Zillie" Gilbert was the daughter of Henry Gilbert & his 2nd wife, Sarah Shrum. Her parents both died prior to 1880 and Zillie was raised by her older half-brother Augustus Gilbert and her other siblings.
Zillie first married Enoch E. Barnett on Sept. 11, 1887 in Howard Co., Arkansas. They had several children. After his death, Zillie remarried to John David Burt on July 25, 1901 in Howard Co., Arkansas. They had several children prior to Zillie's death in 1909.
Zillie is buried next to her 1st husband Enoch E. Barnett. There are 2 headstones for her. One shows her name as Zillah G. Barnett and the other shows it as Zillie Burt. The dates are the same. (See memorial #136115427). It appears that a newer headstone was added to reflect her 1st married name. Both headstones are on the same grave.
