LAYTON--Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sada Hayashida Imaizumi, 74, died peacefully at the Davis Hospital, Tuesday morning, September 20, 1994, following complications from a stroke.

Born August 14,1920 to Tamehachi and Chio Furuta Hayashida in Los Angeles, Calif. She was raised in Southern California, and graduated from Downey High School, Downey, Calif.

She was interned during World War II at the Rohwer Relocation Center, Rohwer, Arkansas and relocated to Chicago, Illinois after her release from the relocation center. She resettled in Layton, Utah after her marriage to George K. Imaizumi.

She is survived by her husband, George, whom she married on March 11, 1983; two sons, Randy Iwanaga (Kathy), Adair, Oklahoma; Tom Iwanaga (Gayle), Chicago, Illinois; a daughter, Penny Higgs, Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren, Patrick Iwanaga, Chicago, Illinois; Paul Iwanaga, Adair, Oklahoma; and Allison Iwanaga, Chicago, Illinois; a stepson, John Imaizumi (Patti), Coppell, Texas; a stepdaughter, Julie Anne Imaizumi, Salt Lake City; four brothers, Satoshi (Betty), Sun City West, Arizona; Takeshi (Sakaye), Gardena, Calif.; George (Joy) Gig Harbour, Washington; Frank, Chicago, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 1994, at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main at 2 p.m. where friends and family may call from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Reverend Shinji Okada of the Ogden Buddhist Church will be officiating. Interment will be in the Kaysville City Cemetery following the services.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bruce Burtenshaw, Dr. Robert Kiyomura and the staff at Davis Hospital for their warm, compassionate care.
