Greta Marie (Cyr) Bradley, 84, a former Concrete area resident, passed away on September 16, 2014 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington.

She was born on September 1, 1930 in Van Buren, Maine to Everett and Almeda Cyr. She was raised in Van Buren and graduated from the Catholic school there in 1948. Upon graduation, she was employed at the local telephone office and operated the manual switchboard.

She met John "Jack" Dale Bradley while he was a serviceman at the Caswell Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. They were married on May 22, 1954 at St. Bruno's Church in Van Buren. They moved west to Jack's hometown of Concrete, Washington.

She was the mother to 2 children (John) Scott Bradley and Rose Bradley (Auvil).

Greta enjoyed her years as a homemaker. She supported her husband in his teaching and coaching career and often traveled with the teams to take stats or keep scores. Led by her compassion for others, Greta often took time to visit people in the hospitals, nursing homes or individual homes and brought a ray of sunshine to their lives. Jack and she were purposeful in keeping family ties and the family often traveled to Nebraska, South Dakota and Maine during the summers to visit relatives.

Greta and Jack enjoyed traveling and dancing. They resided in Concrete, Bellingham, and Sultan, Washington. Greta moved to Orondo, Washington and then her final residence was at Hearthstone Assisted Living in East Wenatchee, Washington. Greta was small in stature but large in compassion, kindness and helpfulness. She had a smile bright enough to light up a room.

Greta is survived by her sister, Cora (Cyr) Sirois of Van Buren, Maine; her 2 children, (John) Scott Bradley of East Wenatchee and Rose (Bradley) Auvil and her husband Tom of Orondo and 2 granddaughters, Megan Auvil of Seattle and Jaclyn Auvil of Orondo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Alemda Cyr and her brother Rudy Cyr.

The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 21st at 7:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley followed by a Funeral Mass on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
