Obituary for Rachel Lorretta Perry
Rachel Lorretta (Caldwell) Perry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on September 13, 2014. Rachel was born in Monteagle, TN. In 1947 at the age of 17, she moved out to Delano, CA, where she met her husband, George Edward Perry; they were married February 7, 1948, and were married for 65 years before his passing. Rachel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Rachel was a homemaker and loved to make craft gifts for her family and friends. She worked for a short time but was happiest when she was at home caring for her family, planning celebrations, and making gifts for her family and friends.
Rachel will be missed by her family and friends and her cats, Bootsy, Smokey, Baby Girls, Midnight, Snowball, and Lucky.

Rachel was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Edward Perry; her sister, Mary Ruth Langely; her mother, Lily Bradely; her brother, Donald Ray Bradely; her daughter, Catherine Gholstone; and five grandchildren, Charles Herman, Scott Perry, Troy Shirley, Brice Brad, and Nicoles Hardage.
She is survived by her children, Ruth Hardage and her husband, Andy of Mountain Home, ID, Don Perry and wife, Jannie, Barbara Prince and Jeff Snarr; her brother, Melvin (Buddy) Bradely; her sister, Grace Seglar, all of Bakersfield, CA. Rachel has 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, along with numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Funeral Home, 2739 Panama Lane. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are Don and Garry Perry, Jeff and Justin Snarr, Andy Hardage, Dustin Green, Corey Shirley, and James Oliver.
