Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - Tuesday, September 8, 1998
Deceased Name: Orville C. Hatch
On Saturday, September 5, 1998, Orville C. Hatch, age 63, passed away after a valiant struggle with cancer.

He was born January 31, 1935 to Gilbert L. and Ileen V. Hatch in Koosharem, Utah. He married Marilyn "Gail" Oyler on June 1, 1954 in the Manti Temple. They had three beautiful children.

Orville owned and operated a Chevron Station after years of service to Standard Oil. He later worked as a mechanic for the Salt Lake City Fire Department and over the last 27 years, he worked as a dental technician serving Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada. In his profession, he was respected and admired by all.

Orville was a member of the LDS Church. He was an honest, loyal, dedicated, hard working man. He had a great love for many things including photography, old trucks, country music, the outdoors, and spending quality time with family and friends. His passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.

He is survived by his wife, Gail of 44 years; parents, Gilbert and Ileen Hatch; brother, Aurell (Kathleen) Hatch; daughter, Teresa (David) Love; son, Kerry (Jolene) Hatch; daughter, Jolene (Mike) Sorenson; grandchildren, Elisa, Erin, Callie and Brayden; great-grandchildren, Elisa, Kiros, and Ambirley.

As a family, we express our gratitude to Dr. Vincent Hansen and the nursing staff of McKay Dee Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Chapel, 1039 E. Crestwood Rd. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 9, 1998 at the Lindquist Mortuary, 400 No. Main, Kaysville, Utah from 6-8 p.m. and again on Thursday at the Crestwood Chapel from 9:45-10:45 prior to the service. Interment at the Kaysville City Cemetery.

Those we love remain with us.
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone...
Those we love can never be more
Than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
