Mr. albert Berthelot passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the age of 69, at The Carpenter House, surrounded by family. He had an unyielding Christian faith and a love for spending time and traveling with family. He enjoyed working in his shop and yard, especially around Christmas when it was time to decorate for the holidays. Al also loved his sports especially when LSU and the San Francisco Giants were playing.

Mr. Berthelotl is survived by his beloved wife: Melrose "Mel" Duvernay Berthelot; his mother: Kathleen Schlatre Berthelot; 1 daughter: Jennifer Berthelot McCann and her husband, Keith; 2 sons: Mark Berthelot and his wife, Jessica and Wayne Berthelot and his wife, Spreigh; 3 sisters: Kitty and Ronnie Wells of Baton Rouge, Lynette and Alex Ivanyisky, and Suzi and Jimmie Parker all of Denham Springs, Louisiana; his precious grandchildren: Heidi Berthelot, Reece McCann, Symone Berthelot, Bristal Berthelot, Luke Berthelot, and Brennan Himel; other relatives; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Albert Berthelot, Sr.; his maternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schlatre, Sr. and his paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. William Berthelot; his father- and mother-in law: Wilson "Sue" and Shirley Duvernay; and his brothers-in law, Darryl Duvernay and Eddie Bateman.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mark Catholic Church, in Gonzales, Louisiana on Monday, September 22, 2014. He was laid to rest at Hope Haven Cemetery, in Gonzales.
Pallbearers were Mark Berthelot, Wayne Berthelot, Keith McCann, Shane Wells, Kyle Wells, Clint Parker, Stephen Bateman.
Honorary pallbearers were Brian Bateman. Dustin Haydel and Scott Bateman.
