PLATTSBURGH - Mardiros (Martin) Asadourian, 61, of 112 Beekman St., died Monday after being taken to the Physicians Unit of the Medical Center.

He was born in Chomaklou, Armenia on April 17, 1908, the son of Soukias and Anoush Asadourian.

After the Armenian massacres of 1915, he temporarily settled in Lebanon from where he migrated to the United States in 1933.

He married the former Vartoog (Rose) Proodain, a native of New York City, in 1937.

In 1941, he moved to Plattsburgh. In 1952 Mr. Asadourian established Martin Tailors, presently located at 22 Oak St.

He was active in many Plattsburgh community activities.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Ara of Plattsburgh; three daughter, Mrs. Allen (Susan) Gullman of East Brunswick, N.J., Mrs. Ernest (Vivian) Marin of Okinawa and Audrey Asadourian of Plattsburgh; one brother, Krikr Asadourian of Teaneck, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Mardiros (Takouhi) Michaelian of Visalia, Calif., and Mrs. Vartan (Mary) Dedekian of Bronx, N.Y. and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church and burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
