Norma Lee Lloyd of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Washington. She had reached the age of 83 years 9 months and 27 days.
Mrs. Lloyd was born in Owensville, Missouri on November 22, 1930, the daughter of the late E.C. and Viola (Meyer) Brinkmann.
On July 26, 1961 she was united in marriage to the late Robert H. "Bob" Lloyd at St. Paul U.C.C. in Hermann. Robert preceded her in death on January 15, 2005.
Norma had her nursing home and administrators license & real estate license. She and her husband Bob established Frene Valley Healthcare System 60 years ago and owned & operated Frene Valley Heath Center & Frene Valley G & R Center both in Hermann. In 1994 they opened Frene Valley Healthcare South in Owensville.
Norma was a graduate of Owensville High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Missouri. She taught for a number of years in Owensville and Swiss. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Hermann, Historic Hermann and she volunteered at the German School.
Norma is survived by two daughters, Chery Fricke & husband Brad of Hermann and Cathy Lloyd of Hermann & fiance' Rick Copeland of Owensville, a son-in-law Denver Lionberger & wife Diane of Eureka, Missouri, a daughter-in-law Ruth Hulsey of Hermann, by a special friend Bob Ramming of Hermann and his entire family, by six grandchildren, Casey Lionberger Zastrow & husband Josh of Washington, Missouri, Calah Lionberger Lackman & husband John of Hermann, Ben Lloyd of Hermann, Chelten Fricke Hasty & husband Stephen of Hermann, Ross & Thomas Henson both of Hermann and by four great grandchildren, Jack & Carolina Lackman of Hermann and Olivia & Owen Zastrow of Washington, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a daughter Carol Lloyd Lionberger and a son Gary Lloyd.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. David Rawlings officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.
