Michael was born November 20, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Walter and Dolores Irene (Yee Jon) Montague. He graduated from Wells High School in 1971. Michael was united in marriage to Tammy Reynolds on July 8, 2000 in their backyard at Nevada, Iowa. Michael served in the Army for 13 years. After the serving in the Army, Michael became an Over the Road trucker. He was a member of the American Legion, William F. Ball Post #48 of Nevada, Iowa and he enjoyed NASCAR.
Michael is survived by his wife Tammy, of Nevada, Iowa; one son: Michael Montague, Jr. of California; one daughter: Katherine Montague-Tomas of Fullerton, California; two step-daughters: Michelle (Neil) Logue of Grimes, Iowa. Melissa (Daniel) Sprouse of Colo, Iowa; one grand-daughter: Mya June Logue; one Brother: Richard Jason Montague of Oreana, Illinois; and two sisters: Deborah Montague of Chicago, Illinois and Diane Spicer of Austin, Indiana.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenny.
