Services for Annie Mae Washington, 77, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, in Natchez, will be at noon Saturday at Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 6:45 p.m. today with a "Celebration of Life' wake service at 7p.m. at the funeral home and from 11a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Washington was born June 27, 1937, in Adams County, the daughter of Albert Fletcher and Annie Rose Logan.
She was a 1954 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School.
She was a retired housekeeper.
She was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church where she served as church secretary, usher, member of the choir and other positions.
She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Cowboys and loved going out to eat.
Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter; Deborah Parks; and one brother; Roy Lee White.
Survivors include four sons, Nathaniel Washington and wife, Linda, Landolph Washington and wife, Shirley, all of Dallas, Vincent Washington and wife, Gloria, and Glynn Washington, all of Natchez; step mother; Katie M. Fletcher; one brother; Charles Fletcher of Baton Rouge; six sisters, Mamie Briscoe, Beatrice King, Katie Marie Wesley and husband Larry, all of Natchez, Brenda Sue White of Fayette, Linda Rose Duncan and wife, Leon, of Nashville, and Ethel Rose Thompson and husband, Franklin, of Dallas; four uncles; five aunts; one special aunt, Marie Granger of Natchez; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
