Anna Elizabeth Daniels is the daughter of Mr Daniels and Marietta Carter. Anna and her family started to make a trip from Texas to Montana in 1887. Her father was killed by being thrown from a horse and the trip was cancelled. Then in 1888 Anna's mother Marietta and the three girls Anna, Minnie and Maude made the trip from Texas to Sturgis, Meade County, South Dakota. When only 16 years of age Anna married Leslie Earl "Earl" Stanifer about 1894. Anna and Earl had a son named Oran "Bobbie" Stanifer. Oran was adopted by his grandmother Marietta Carter Daniels Catron and her husband at that time James Richard "Dick" Catron. Next Anna married a man named Jones about 1899. Anna and Mr. Jones had a son named Richard Jones. Anna's third marriage was to Elija Wesley "Mex" Griffith 10 Feb 1907.
