Jimmy Claude Rowe Sr., 85, of St. Charles, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at St. Louis.

Jim was born July 6, 1929, at Light, Arkansas, the son of Claude G. and Emma Casey Rowe.

Jim married Helen Pemberton at Paragould in 1952; they have celebrated 62 years of marriage.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a engineer equipment mechanic. He went to work for McDonald Douglas in St. Louis as a machinist until his retirement. He was a member of the machinist union.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Helen of St. Charles; his loving son, Jim Rowe Jr. of St. Charles; his loving sisters, Montie Terrell of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Matheline Perry of Muskegon, Mich; and his loving grandson, Dale Rowe.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents and loving sisters, Modell Faulkner and Mattie Shirley.

Graveside services were held in Mount Zion Cemetery at Walcott.
