Scott E. Schneider, age 42, of Billings, MT passed away on September 15, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Care with his family by his side. Scott was born in Glendive, MT the son of Duane and Diana (Stull) Schneider. Scott attended grade school in Garrison, ND and graduated from Garrison High School in 1990.
After high school Scott attended Dickinson State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1995. After college Scott remained in Dickinson where he met the love of his life, Carey Kountz, and they were married on June 23, 2007. Scott and Carey eventually moved to Idaho for several years before returning to Montana where they have lived in Billings for the last four years. Scott was an avid golfer and sports fan.

He loved watching the Michigan Wolverines, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Tigers. Scott loved spending time playing with his nieces and nephews who he loved as his own.

Scott is survived by his wife, Carey; his father, Duane Schneider of Garrison, ND; grandparent, Donna Sygulla of Beach, ND; one brother, Dusty (Brandee) Schneider of Mandan, ND; one sister, Karri (Joe) Kerzmann of Colstrip, MT; father and mother-law, Brad & Mary Kountz of Brockway, MT; brother and sister-in-laws, Tina (Cary) Phillips of Circle, MT and Kaylee (Matt) Kleinsasser of Miles City, MT; twelve nieces and nephews, Kaylee “KJ”, Tanner “Chuck”, Destiny “D”, Angel “Lizzy”, Tyson, Riley, Ramsey “Hollywood”, Rhett “Rhetters”, Falynn “Fal”, Flint, Greeley “Grees”, Izzy “Izzard” and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Diana; grandparents, Art & Bertha Schneider and Joe Sygulla and two uncles, Gerald “Luger” Schneider and Ed Sygulla. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cremation Funeral Gallery in Billings, MT.

The family requests that friends dress casual and wear their favorite sports memorabilia if possible.

A luncheon will follow in the Banquet Room at the Elks Lodge.
