AYR, Jan. 23. - Robert Thompson Patterson, 80, died at his home here today after a lengthy illness.
A native of Perth County, Mr. Patterson was the son of Robert and Ettie Linton Patterson. He farmed for 22 years east of Ayr before retiring to the village.
He was an adherent of Knox United Church.
Mrs. Patterson, the former Jessie Dalzell, died nine years ago. Surviving are one son, James D., Ayr; two daughters, Margaret and Agnes, Ayr; two brothers, George, Safety Harbor, Fla., and Andrew, Galt; and one sister, Mrs. Callanan, Ingersoll.
The body is resting at the residence where the funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. W D. Goodger will officiate and interment will be in Chesterfield Cemetery.
