Danny C. Mullins June 14, 1950 - June 24, 2014

Danny C. Mullins, 64, passed away, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Mullins was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam, and a member of VFW Post 8979. He attended Haysi Church of Christ.

Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his parents, Freel and Virgie Mullins, one brother, four sisters and his first wife, Judy Mullins.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Mullins of Clintwood; four sons, Shane Mullins and wife Debbie, Jason “Bubby” Mullins and wife April, and Steve Mullins all of Clintwood and Chad Sluss of Nora, Virginia; one daughter, Cindy Hull and husband Ryan of Clintwood ; two step-sons Robert Deel, Jr. of Haysi, Virginia and Jason W. Deel of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Eugene Mullins of Clintwood and Donald Mullins of Fredricksburg, Virginia; three sisters, June Mullins of Clintwood, Ann Kendrick of Clintwood and Peggy Clifton of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Gabby Mullins, Ashleigh Mullins, Makayla Mullins, Derrick Mullins and Kandice Mullins; three step-grandchildren Kim Hilliards, Brittney Hilliards, and Jacob Hilliards.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 26th, 11:00 am in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Willard Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Fleming Cemetery on Rose Ridge. Military graveside services will be conducted by VFW Post 8979. Pallbearers are Robert Deel, Jason Deel, Brandon Mullins, Tim Mullins, Donnie Mullins and Jamie Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are the members of VFW Post 8979. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 pm, Wednesday, June 25th. A song service will begin at 7:00 pm.
