Pernie Lucille Jacobson, 94, of Taylor passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at S.P.J.S.T. Nursing Home in Taylor. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 2 PM Friday, January 25, 2008 at Providence Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Pernie was born September 5, 1913 in Lexington, TX. to Jerry and Hattie (Mathis) Poston. She was married to George Jacobson on December 24, 1933 in Lexington. Pernie was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her biggest joys were her family. She loved baking, canning, and making crafts. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years at the First Assembly of God Church in Taylor. Pernie worked as a seamstress at the Taylor Bedding Company for over forty years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren, Donna Hobbs and Michael Jacobson.

Pernie is survived by two sons, Cecil Jacobson and wife, Esa Esa and Leon Jacobson and wife, Linda both of Houston; daughter, Velma Hobbs and husband, Archie of Taylor; grandchildren, Pam Roznovak and husband, Claude, Randy Hobbs and wife, Dorothy, Ronnie Jacobson and wife, Gail, Kimberly Mitchell and husband, Mark, Kendall Jacobson and wife, June, and Danny Jacobson; great-grandchildren, Natalie Bonkowski and husband, Tony, Jennie Carter, Cameron Hobbs, Rachel Hobbs, Lane Hobbs, Kara Schwartz, Jason Wullschleger, Ryan Mitchell, Christy Mitchell, Brennon Jacobson, Haden Jacobson, Corey Wayne Jacobson, and Tyler Jake Jacobson, and great-great-grandchildren,Tyler Bonkowski and Freddie Schwartz.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Jacobson, Danny Jacobson, Randy Hobbs, Cameron Hobbs, Claude Roznovak, and Tony Bonkowski.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the SPJST Rest Home for the loving care their mother received the last four years.
