He was co-founder of Ogden and Bonneville Title Companies with his son Charles Hammond. Up until two weeks before his death he was employed by Equity Title Co. in Salt Lake.

His greatest joy in life was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially loved to travel with his family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, "buddies" and brothers-in-law. Weekend trips to the cabin with his grandchildren in Big Cottonwood Canyon gave him great pleasure.

Frank was voracious reader of history and biographies.
