John, a resident of Cotton Valley for 35 years, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at his home. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a retired oil field construction worker. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mavis Andrews Guillot; daughters, Tammy Sue Holtzclaw of Katy, TX; Tracey Lynn Crank and husband, Ricky of Cotton Valley, LA; sons, John P. Guillot, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Shongaloo, LA; Russell Glen Guillot and wife, Linde of Haynesville, LA; Robert Scott Guillot and wife, Lisa of Strong, AR; sisters, Mary Langlois of Erwinville, LA; Dean Donacricha of Port Allen, LA; brothers, P. W. Guillot and wife, Lula Mae of Plaucheville, LA; Troy Guillot and wife, Betty of Alexandria, LA; Cecil Guillot of Alvin TX; Irwin Guillot and wife, Karen of Erwinville, LA; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brandon Holtzclaw, Tony Holtzclaw, Cody Guillot, Lucas Compton, Levi Compton and Kip Guillot.
