AGED RESIDENT EXPIRED TODAY
At the Home of Daughter, Mrs. Walter Johnson

Noah E. Shetterly 72, [82] who was born near Perkinsville and who had lived in Madison County all of his life, died at 10:20 this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Johnson, four miles northeast of Alexandria. The body was taken to the Gipe funeral home and prepared for burial. It will be returned to the Johnson home Friday afternoon. Funeral plans have not been completed.
Mr. Shetterly was a son of Andrew and Rachel (Hall) Shetterly, pioneers of the Perkinsville community, and was born March 25, 1862. He was married in 1880 to Nancy Ann McCord, who preceded him in death in 1934. He had been a farmer all of his life until his recent retirement.
He leaves two sons, Noah Lloyd of Alexandria and Grayendon of Anderson; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Newton, Noblesville, and Mrs. Johnson, here; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. [
