Elmer is the Son of David Allshouse b.4-15-1835, d.12-10-1919 & Sarah (Crawford) Allshouse b. 6-4-1836, d. 5-6-1920. Both are buried in Bethel Cemetery, Lawrence County, New Castle, Pa. Davids Father is Samuel Allshouse b. 1787, d. 1867 and his mother was Esther (Keck) Allshouse b. 1799, d. 1859.

The death of Elmer E. Allshouse, a well known citizen of this county occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Richards, of near Goheenville, on Wednesday afternoon, March 3, 1920, at two o'clock. The Deceased was aged 56 years. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. David Allshouse and the following children: Bert Allshouse of Meredith, Jefferson county; Herman and Joseph of Tarrtown; Henry, of Kittanning; Mrs. Fred Stouffer, of Lowellville, Ohio; Mrs. George Richards, of Boggs township; Miss Ada, of Kittanning. Also the following brothers and sisters: Sarah Allshouse, of New Castle; B. S. Allshouse, of Kittanning; Henry and Perry Allshouse, of New Castle; George Allshouse, of Shippenville; Mrs. George Williams, Mrs. William Kuhn, of New Castle.

The funeral will take place from the home of his son, Henry Allshouse, 1520 North Grant Avenue, Kittanning, Friday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. R. P. Andrews officiating. The interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery.
