Kathryne "Katie" L. Dickerson, 88 of Deer Park, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on January 30, 1921 in Austin, Texas to O.H. and Dallas Stooksberry.
She retired from Armco Steel after working as an accounting clerk for 35 years. She owned and operated Kathy's Korner in Deer Park for many years. She loved her family, traveling and a good game of Bridge with friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.R. Dickerson in 1985, her parents and a brother, O.H. "Butch" Stooksberry.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Dickerson and wife Jane, and Richard Dickerson; brother, Larry Stooksberry and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Gary Dickerson Jr. and wife Terri, Greg Dickerson and wife Cindy, Melissa Dickerson, Charles Dickerson, Michael Dickerson and wife Dawn, Adam Dickerson and Robin Dickerson; great grandchildren, Shelby, Kylie, Cody, Caleb, Collin, Seth and Lexi Dickerson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 5PM to 8PM at Fairmont Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 10AM at Fairmont Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3:30PM at Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor, Texas. Pastor Chris Richey will be officiating.
