James Robert Rainwater, 63, LaFayette, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday September 16, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Rainwater was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was owner of AMS Inc. He was a graduate of Rossville High School. Robert was an avid golfer and was a fantastic ball player in his younger years.
He was preceded in death by his father Rev. James H. Rainwater.
Survivors are his loving wife of 37 years Pamela Stone Rainwater, other survivors include two daughters Shannon Rainwater of LaFayette and Terri Yoder of Chattanooga , two sons Adam Rainwater of Rock Spring and Tyler Rainwater of LaFayette; mother Stella Rainwater and sister Jeanette Cooper, both of Trenton. Nine grandchildren Autumn Fitzgerald, Austin Rainwater, Hayden Rainwater, Lily-Ann Rainwater, Ethan Rainwater, Sophia Kincer, Jett Rainwater, Brittany Edenfield and Brice Edenfield.
There will be an informal celebration of life service 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the fellowship center of the Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene with family and friends sharing stories about Robert.
