Edna Lucinda Bowen passed away peacefully Friday,Sept,12,2014, at Chandler Hall Hospice of Newtown. She was 86.
Edna was born Feb.16.1928, in Trenton,N.J. to Jacob and Helen Bigley. She was one of eight children,who all preceded her in death. She spent her childhood on the family farm in Titusville,NJ before moving to Trenton.
She was employed at Heinemann Electric in Trenton before leaving work to become a homemaker. Later she returned to work and retired from Gemini Plastics in Morrisville,Pa.
Edna was the wife of Walter F. Bowen. They were happily married for 65 years. They shared their life together as residents of Ewing,NJ and Morrisville, before moving to Wrightstown
She enjoyed needle work and the challenges for putting together all types of puzzles and playing cards. She enjoyed shopping and collecting all of her little knick-knacks.
Edna was the proud mother of Bruce and his wife, Lynne Bowen of Wrightstown and her grandpets,Molly,Maggie and JacJac. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Edna's Life celebration from 10 to 11 a.m.,Saturday,Sept.20, and to her funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Swartz/Givnish Funeral Home,Washington and Lincoln Avenue,Newtown,Pa.18940. Interment will follow in Wrightstown Friends Cemetery.
