Born in Winchester, MA., the daughter of the late Dr. Chester and Esther (Walker) Wolfe of Winchester, MA.
She was a graduate of Winchester High School and the University of Michigan. After graduation from Michigan, she worked for the U.S. Navy on early Sonar in San Francisco, CA. After World War II, she returned to Massachusetts where she met her future husband Peter Knox. They resided in Walpole, MA and worked at Bird & Sons until retirement and then moved to Barnstable, Cape Cod full time after spending summers there since her youth.
She had many hobbies and was active in the Art Associations of Barnstable and Yarmouth. A lover of birds and house plants. She also gave to numerous charities.
Memorial service on Friday, September 19th at 1:00 PM at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home
160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA Her brother, John F. Wolfe, predeceased her and she is survived by her brother Chester F. Wolfe of Barnstable, MA and eight nieces and nephews and their children. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Internment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private.
