Erby Coil Pennington, 79, died Friday in a Macon Hospital. Born in Wilkinson County, he lived in Baldwin County a number of years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had served aboard the USS New Mexico. He worked for Rep. Carl Vinson and was the former owner of Pennington Trucking Co.,the Pennington Mobile Home Park and Pennington Tire. He was a Baptist.
Survivors: sons, Gary Pennington and Paul Pennington, both of Milledgeville, sisters Clara Mcdade of Milledgeville and Ollie Hartin of Charleston; half brother, Perrin Harrington of Milledgeville; and two grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday in Moores Funeral Home, Milledgeville. Burial: Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Milledgeville. Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
