Rick Alan Adams, 37, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 1996 in the Farmington Canyon while snowmobiling, doing what he loved doing best.

Born December 25, 1958 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Ray A. and Erma A. Forbes Adams.Rick married Lezli Scoffield on February 20, 1981 in Layton, Utah.

He was a long time resident of Layton and Kaysville, graduating from Layton High School in 1977. He was a member of the Kaysville LDS Meadows Ward.

Rick had been in the house building business for 23 years as a self employed General Contractor. Rick had built many beautiful homes in the area and touched a lot of lives. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, boating and camping with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Kaysville; one son and three daughters, all of Kaysville, Kasey Alan Adams, Lindzee De Adams, Shailee Ann Adams, MaKinzee Lee Adams; Rick's parents, Erma A. Adams, Farr West; Mr. & Mrs. Ray A. Adams, Clearfield; in-laws, Rudd and Dionne Scoffield, Layton; grandmother, Ila Forbes, Layton; grandmother-in-law, Mable Bennett, Kaysville; two brothers and one sister, Rodney (Pam) Adams, Layton; Russell (Jody) Adams, Kaysville; RaeLeen (Dave) Carmack, Layton. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many friends, all of whom will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer J. Forbes; grandparents, John and Evelyn Meredith and one niece.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Fairfield LDS Chapel, 555 North 100 East. Friends and family may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to services. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to all those who helped with the search and recovery of Rick, and for the generous outpouring of love from friends and the community,
