OBITUARY: Sterling Funeral Home

Charles Milton Prince, 68, born on November 12, 1945 in Highlands, TX passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2014 at his home in Highlands.

Milton is preceded in death by his wife Judy Prince, parents Alpha Bea and James Ray Prince of Highlands, brothers Tommy Gene Prince of Crosby, and Billy Don Prince of Highlands, and daughter Jutina Powell Silvey of Houston and brother-in-law Robert (Bob) Moore.

Milton is survived by his sister Linda Rae Simms and husband Charles of Houston, sister Catherine Craig and husband Rev Robert (Bob) of Brenham, brother Kenneth (“Buddy”) Prince of Highlands, sister Judy Moore of Flower Mound, brother Terry Prince and wife Debbie of Dayton, and sister-in-law Karen Prince of Crosby, TX. He is also survived by his daughters Tammy Prince of Key Largo, FL, Regina Harris and husband Steve of Kurtistown, HI, Deanna Irwin and husband Harry of Old River, Lajuana Edgar and husband Chuck of Highlands, Julie Powell of Highlands, TX, his 13 grandchildren Amanda, Jason, Ginger, Jace, Colby, Tyler, Sean, Natalie, Kirsten, Michael, Kayla, Megyn, and Charles, and 7 great grandchildren Taylor, Jacob, Landon, Blake, Alex, Cassidy, and Nathan.

Milton was a US Army Veteran, and worked most of his adult non-military life as a millwright for Rohm & Haas in Pasadena, TX, from whom he retired several years ago. He had many interests and hobbies including fishing, gardening, collecting, mechanics and technical/computer repair, as well as spending time with his family and friends.

The family will receive guests Thursday, September 19th from 5pm until 8pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, TX 77562. Funeral services will be Friday, September 20th at 1pm at the same location.
