Scott Alan Miles, Sr., 59, of Findlay, passed away at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September l, 20l4, at Bridge Hospice Center. He was born in Lima, Ohio to Ruth (Glaser) Miles and the late Richard C. (Dick) Miles. He married Darlene Myers Harpe on September 27, 1975. Surviving are his wife, Darlene, son, Scott (Brenda) Miles Jr. of rural Findlay, stepsons, Michael and Matthew Harpe of Findlay, sisters, Rochel (Tony) Swartz, of Fostoria, Ohio and Robin (Mike) McDowell of Bluffton, Ohio. Scott is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Lillian Miles, Olyvia Harpe, Tyler Harpe, Alysea Harpe, Caleb Baldridge, Madilyn Baldridge. Preceding him in death was a grandchild, Ashley Harpe. Scott was a 1973 Graduate of Findlay High School. He retired from Garner Transportation Group after 27 yrs. He was very proud of being an over the road truck driver and in 2009 received a plaque from "The Million Mile Club", for recognition for driving over one million accident free miles as a Professional Driver for Garner Transportation Group, and since 2009 had driven many more miles. Scott loved all things mechanical, and figured out how to fix or repair things that someone said could not be fixed. Scott's passion every year was Tractor Pulling. He went to Bowling Green Tractor Pulls since 1968 up until he was unable to attend them and watched them on the internet. He also loved NASCAR, did not miss one race. Anything with horsepower he enjoyed, especially his 1967 Dodge Charger. Fabricating was interesting to him. He could carry on a conversation with anyone and by the time they were done they would learn a great deal from Scott. He enjoyed every minute of his life and made the best of every hour of every day. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Scott's friends, Doctors Mills, Li, Lutz, Ranker, Gilbert and Dawley for helping Scott through his illness and to Bridge Hospice Care Center where all the nurses and staff are "gifts from God". There will be no funeral services. Scott will be cremated and taken home to rest, these were his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridge Hospice Care Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
