Known and loved by all he came in contact with, Ray never met a stranger. He was a graduate of Van Buren High School. Ray was devoted to his family. He was a life-long farmer and woodworker and could often be found laughing with or doing something for a friend. In his later years, he loved to raise sheep and naturally became an avid collector and purveyor of antique tools. The family would like to extend a special thank you to dear friend Linda Simon who cared for Ray during his lengthy illness. There will be no funeral services. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NRA (www.nrafoundation.org) and/or to Salem Cass United Methodist Church.
