Gail Jean (Palmer) Carpenter, age 54, of Sunman, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at her residence.

Born July 20, 1960 in Dearborn County, she was the daughter of LeRoy and Eula Russell (nee Seals) Palmer. Gail was a 27 year employee of Gardens Alive! Inc., of Lawrenceburg, and formerly of Sunman. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those surviving who will honor Gail’s memory include children, Wade Alan (Becky) Carpenter, Jr. of Milan and Ryan Keith (Michelle) Carpenter of Milan; special friend Kirk Taylor of Sunman; 5 grandchildren, David, Annalise, Emma, Kaitlyn and Abigail; sisters, Helen (Herb) Brock, Lyn (Tony) Slayback, Becky (Phil) Hess, and brother, Gary (Theresa) Palmer, all of Milan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by stepfather, Ottie Russell.

Visitation for friends and family is Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. The funeral service, led by Jerry Palmer, begins at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Sunman.
