NEW CASTLE-- G. Wallace "Wally" Bertram, 81, went to be with the Lord on Wed., Sept. 10,2014 at Glen Oaks Health Campus.

Wally was born on Oct. 8,1932 in Sandclift, KY the son of Otto and Nora (Lester) Bertram.

He lived in Modoc until retirement, then spent many happy years in Florida until returning to Indiana to be with family.

He attended Crossroads Church in New Castle. he previously owned B&M Steel Fabrication & Mo-Lo Truck Bodies. He raised and raced quarter horses. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites & Shriner's. Wally loved God, family, fishing and golfing. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Patty (Ammerman) Bertram, two daughters, Kathy (Larry) Swearingen of Muncie, Gloria (Steve) Rader of Farmland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Kay (Bill) Harshman of Modoc.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Rick; brother, Sterlie; and sister, Ovidene Sprinkle.

A memorial service to celebrate Wally's life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20,2014 at Word of Hope Church, US Hwy 36, Modoc.
