She had worked as an assistant manager for Service America. She was a member of Tri-County Worship Center. She had a strong faith in God and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and going to church. She loved her dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Howard Ayers; daughter, Brenda Ware; son, Michael Ayers; grandchildren, Magen, Cody and Madison Ware, Christopher Ayers and Bella Turner; brothers, Jerry Lockhart (Kaye), Roy "Buddy" Lockhart, and Larry Lockhart (Delma); sisters-in-law, Shirley Lockhart and Thelma Kellison (Paul) and brother-in-law, Dale Ayers; aunts, Betty Buchanan (Alfred), Glenna Craddock of Miss., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lockhart, and a nephew, Rick Kellison.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1700 MacCorkle Ave. S.E., Suite 141, Charleston WV 25314.
