HUNTER, GLENN MARSHALL, 67, of Louisville, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008. He served in the 421st Med Co APO with honors as a United States veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from HCA Heathcare with 26 years of service as a network engineer. He belonged to St. Athanasius Catholic Church and was a member of the Louisville Scottish Rite Shively Lodge #951 and also of Kosair for 26 years where he served as president of the Brass Band in 1986 and 2006. He loved entertaining whether it was singing or playing his trumpet. He was a professional musician who played in bands such as The Entertainers back in 1976, A Train in 2000 and Mellotones for the past five years. He was a member of the Al Memah Band in Nashville, TN where he also sang with the Music City Chorus. He had his own quartet called Music City Revival and he was also a former member of the Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Elizabeth "Bobby" (Marlow); stepfather, Leon Meyers; and his father, James Hunter. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Wisehart) Hunter; children, Troy Hunter (Kelly), Eric Hunter and Nichole Ipock; four grandchildren; sister, Wanda Stallings; and cousins, Larry Marlow and Jerry Marlow, who was like a brother to him. His funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Saturday 5-8 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Charities.
