Wetumka resident Susie Jo Lindsey, and former Wewoka resident departed this life Monday, September 15th, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 75 years. Born January 17, 1939 in Wetumka, OK to the late Charles Tiger and Annie Marshall Tiger.
Susie married Fred Lindsey December 31, 1959 in Holdenville, OK. She was a Nutritionist for the Creek Nation , a member of Little Quarsarty Baptist Church. Her passion was singing Native songs, sewing, cooking and serving the LORD with her many Church activities.
Wake service will be 7:00 pm Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Little Quarsarty Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Friday, September 19, 2014 at Little Quarsarty Baptist Church with Pastors Eddie Lindsey and Woody Fields officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Family Cemetery north of Wewoka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Salina Yargee, brothers Homer Ray Tiger, and John Scott.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, one brother, three sisters and many other relatives and friends.
