Obituary of Connie Faye Russell
Funeral services celebrating the life of Connie Faye Russell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2014, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, with Brother Sam Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Hemphill Star Cemetery, Boyce.
Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and resume on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be her nephews, Scotty Conway, Cody Turnage, Sean Russell, Luke Conway, Tyler Turnage and Dakota Crooks.
Connie Russell, 68, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at CHRISTUS St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.
Connie was a happy outgoing person that never met a stranger and made many friends throughout her lifetime. She was a resident at Matthew's Memorial for the last 3 years, and while there, she added many friends including management and staff.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Mozell Monk Russell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Linda Russell Conway and spouse, Scott, Carolyn Russell Hunt and spouse, Buck; brother, Claude Ronald Russell; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
