Katie Worley Succumbs
Winamac – Katie Worley, 81, 701 S. Huddleston Road, Winamac, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday at her residence. Born Dec. 3, 1898, in Boulder, Colo., she was the daughter of Mathias and Theresa Burger Foerg. She was married Sept. 22, 1925, in Pulaski to Frank Worley, who preceded her in death August 1, 1978. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Winamac, and the Christian Mothers. Surviving are five daughters, Frances Hamilton, Logansport; Agnes Houk, South bend; Mary Webb, Winamac; Alma McFarland, Winamac; and Dorothy Beauchamp, Plymouth; one son, Fred, Chesterton; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert Reed officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pulaski West. Friends may call at the Frain Mortuary after 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
