Major League Baseball Player. The catcher saw limited time in the big leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies (1929), the Detroit Tigers (1932), the Pittsburgh Pirates (1939), the St. Louis Browns (1940) and the Cleveland Indians (1941 to 1944). The right-handed batter had only 268 at-bats and hit .228 lifetime with two homers. He coached for Cleveland, the Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Athletics and Milwaukee Braves before a long association with the Washington Senators, who later became the Texas Rangers. His son, George Susce, pitched five years with Boston and Detroit.
